GDMFS Project
Guangdong Manufacturing Enterprise Survey (GDMFS) – co-launched by JNU College of Economics and IESR, is designed to measure and evaluate the quality of manufacturing industry development in Guangdong province, and build an index system that would comply to the actual development needs of the industry, and which could be used to observe enterprise development in the long run. The project also supports national green manufacturing strategy of 2025.
On October 20th, JNU College of Economics Professor Bing Wang – the person in charge of this project, gave a talk on GDMFS survey data. At first, he introduced the project, putting particular focus on the implementation process, sampling method as well as questionnaire completion, and then shared some of the project’s findings. Following Prof. Bing Wang, other scholars also presented their research, which led to a heated discussion afterwards.
Professor Bing Wang introduced GDMFS Project
By means of in-depth interviews as well as questionnaire surveys – all of which were conducted in a number, and extremely diverse enterprises all across the region, GDMFS project was able to gather reliable data that has not only provided our team with comprehensive understanding of the whole manufacturing industry in Guangdong province, but it has also given those enterprises a chance to reflect on their own development, and hence move forwards. Finally, this project can serve as a driving force for the national policymaking, and thus contribute to the overall China’s economic development in the future.
